A default is important because it shapes behaviour more than a model catalogue does. It affects the quality developers expect, the type of work they delegate, spend patterns and the safeguards that need to be in place around repositories and credentials.
Other organisations should not copy a default blindly. Compare models on representative repositories, set policies for secrets and production changes, and preserve an escalation and rollback path when the assistant produces uncertain or unsafe output.
