Google launches Gemini 3.6 Flash and 3.5 Flash-Lite for agent scale

Google released Gemini 3.6 Flash and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite for production agent workloads. Google describes Flash-Lite as its fastest and most cost-effective 3.5-class model, while 3.6 Flash focuses on stronger efficiency for general workloads. A cyber-focused 3.5 Flash variant is limited to CodeMender partners.

For builders, the release reinforces a common pattern: use a capable workhorse for complex steps and a cheaper, high-throughput model for routing, extraction and classification.
