Cursor 3.8 expands automations with Slack, GitHub and computer use

Cursor 3.8 added the /automate skill, an emoji trigger for Slack, five extra GitHub triggers and computer use for automation-launched cloud agents. Teams can start recurring engineering work from collaboration events rather than manual handoffs.

Because these agents can act in cloud environments, teams should define narrow instructions, approval boundaries and audit expectations before enabling triggers broadly.
