Microsoft Copilot favors response modes over model names

Microsoft Copilot increasingly presents task-oriented modes such as Quick Response and Think Deeper instead of exposing a complete model picker. Quick Response prioritizes speed; Think Deeper allows more time for reasoning.

The simpler interface helps end users, but it complicates repeatable evaluation. Teams with regulated or quality-sensitive use cases should record the observed behavior, not assume a hidden mode maps permanently to one model.
