Anthropic expands compute narrative and Claude Code capacity

The May discussion around Anthropic paired larger model ambitions with the need for more compute, including reporting about SpaceX-related capacity. Claude Code users also saw messaging around substantially higher limits for supported plans.

Compute announcements are strategically important because they influence availability, latency and the economics of long-running agent work. They are not, by themselves, a guarantee of capacity for every customer or task.

Engineering leaders should plan for quotas even when limits increase. Measure real usage, set budgets and design graceful fallbacks for peak periods or provider-side controls.
